Top of The Hill
Derry City, 2022 and 2023
Project Overview
These landmark, twin-phase social housing developments comprise an initial 98-unit scheme, submitted in 2021, alongside a further 120-unit project sharing a boundary. Both applications are currently progressing through the planning process following its 2022 submission. Thoughtfully designed to respect its unique setting outside the Derry Development Area, the development is strategically positioned along the western boundary of Top of the Hill Park on Corrody Road.
Together, these high-quality schemes will deliver much-needed, modern homes and significantly enhance the quality of life for families within the Waterside community. Both schemes are being delivered with the support of Apex Housing, presenting an opportunity to unify the two projects at the Reserved Matters stage.
A wider masterplan for the regeneration of Top of the Hill Park has been developed collaboratively between the local community centre and the Parks Authority. These two social housing schemes will play an important role in supporting and accelerating this regeneration, contributing to the long-term vibrancy and well-being of the area.
A CGI flythrough of the proposed developments was produced by BLOCK Creative Property Marketing, providing a visualisation of the schemes and their integration with the surrounding landscape.
